In April 2020, the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence issued its first-quarter recommendations to Congress, covering seven lines of effort, six of which are public and one of which is classified. In the first of a series of podcast episodes about those recommendations, Craig S. Smith, a former New York Times correspondent and now a Special Government Employee at the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence, spoke with Andrew Moore, NSCAI commissioner and Google's Vice President and General Manager, Cloud AI and Industry Solutions, about his line of effort's recommendations on AI R&D funding.
